Auch der Kopf ist sehr breit, wirkt aber etwas bullig, der Oberkopf könnte proportionell gesehen, etwas höher sein. Auge tiefliegend, klein, mittelbraun. Reiches Haar, reiche Befederung. Gebiss, kräftig, vollzählig, korrekt. Das Ohr dürfte kleiner sein. Der Hund wäre nahezu vollkommen, wenn er im Gangwerk zügiger sein könnte, was offenbar wegen der Schwere nicht möglich ist.

Written critics: Ein bärenhafter Rüde mit richtigen Proportionen. Er präsentiert ein kräftiges Skelett mit straffer Bemuskelung und gefestigter Rückenlinie. Die Kruppenform mit Rutenansatz und Haltung ist einwandfrei. Dazu gut ausgebildete Brust mit der dem Körperbau entsprechenden Tiefe und Breite. Vorhand richtig gewinkelt. Winkelung der Nachhand, insbesondere der Stellung der Hinterläufe ist unklar. Vorhand in Schritt und Trab gut ausgreifend. Nachhand wirkt gehemmt. Hinterhand im Trab leicht angezogen. Maskuliner kopf mit gutliegendem, dunklem Auge. Ohrenansatz und Länge einwandfrei. Fehlerfreies Scherengebiss. Äußeres üppiges Haarkleid auf der Kruppenpartie offen.
