Written critics: Er ist z. Zt. in schlechter Form, halb abgehaart und mit 15 Pfund zu wenig Fleisch auf den Rippen. Der Oberkopf ist von sehr guter Form, die Ohren sind geradezu winzig und gut dreieckig, auch gut angesetzt, werden aber (ein Erbteil seiner Mutter) selten "gestellt", wenn sie gestellt sind, wird der Ausdruck des Kopfes wesentlich gehoben. Die Oberkieferlefze ist etwas zu schwer, dadurch ist der innere Augenwinkel etwas zu offen. Im Verhältnis ist der Unterkiefer, wie bei den meisten Neufundländern, etwas zu leicht. Das Gebiß ist gut. Die Augen sind zu hell, aber unauffällig und ohne zu stechen, ihre Lage ist gut. Bisher hat sich bei der Zucht mit diesem Rüden immer das dunkle Auge seiner Vorfahren vererbt. Gangwerk gut, hinten jedoch zu steil, ganz enorm starke Knochen. Rute ist ideal kurz, letzter Wirbel zwei Finger breit überm Sprunggelenk, wird gut getragen. Der Rüde kann nach meiner Kenntnis sehr viel besser sein, er hat erst vor kurzem den Besitzer gewechselt und wird sich wieder anders herausmachen. Seine Größe ist fast etwas über meinem Geschmack.
