Written critics: Allgemeine Erscheinung: großer kräftiger Rüde mit guten Proportionen, typischer Neufundländer. Kopf kräftig, der Größe entsprechend, guter Stop, Ohrenansatz gut, Augen dunkel, beiderseitig leicht harabhängendes Augenlid. Gebiß Schere, Prämolaren und Molaren vorhanden (einwandfreies Gebiß). Vorderhand sehr kräftig, trotzdem Katzenpfoten, Brustbreite und -tiefe vorhanden, Rücken leicht hängend, Rute etwas hoch angesetzt, gut getragen. Hinterhand könnte besser gewinkelt sein, nach außen drehend, Kruppe überbaut, durch Hinterhand bedingt. Gebäude und Knochenbau: sehr großer stattlicher Rüde, Knochenbau sehr kräftig. Gangwerk durch Hinterhand bedingt, dreht etwas nach außen. Farbe und Behaarung schwarz, Behaarung voll, Wesen gut, Hoden vorhanden.

Written critics: Ein großer, kräftiger Rüde, der leider einen hängenden Rücken hat. Der Kopf ist typisch un der Ohrenansatz gut. Die Augen sind dunkel, das Gebiß weist eine Zange auf. Die Vorderhand wird links etwas nach innen getreten, die Bänder sind weich, trotzdem ist die Vorderhand kräftig. Brustbreite und -tiefe vorhanden. Der Rücken ist weich und hängt durch. Die Rute ist etwas hoch angesetzt. Die Hinterhand ist schlecht gewinkelt. Kruppe wirkt überbaut, bedingt durch Hinterhand. Es handelt sich um einen großen kräftigen Rüden, der einen starken Knochenbau hat. Durch die Hinterhand bedingt, fehlt es beim Gangwerk an Nachschub. Farbe und Behaarung sind schwarz und gut. Das Wesen ist fest.
