Written critics: 5 ½ Jahre. Adliger und großer Hund, 76 cm Stockmaß, kein schwerer, aber recht ansprechender nobler und trockener Kopf mit mittelbraunem Auge. Gut erhaltenes und korrektes Gebiss, schön geformtes Ohr. die starken Vorderläufe neigen ein wenig zum Durchtritt. Die Brustbreite ist nicht ausreichend, Lendenpartie müsste kräftiger sein. Gutes Gangwerk. Das Haar ist bei vorwiegend sehr dunklem Braun von zahlreichen kleineren und größeren weißgrauen Partien durchsetzt, so dass der Hund gestromt wirkt. Neigt im Typ übrigens sehr zum Landseer. Dem Hund fehlen 10 Pfund Fleisch auf den Knochen. Leider ist dieser adlige Rüde von erstklassigen Anlagen bei seinem früheren Besitzer als Welpe ungenügend ernährt und gehalten worden. Diese Aufzuchtfehler sind nicht gutzumachen. Nur wegen der mangelnden Brustbreite muss ich diesem auch im Wesen überaus sympathischen Hund die Note „vorzüglich“ vorenthalten.
